What is InvoiceNow?

InvoiceNow is Singapore's nationwide e-invoicing network, launched by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in 2019. It enables businesses of all sizes to send and receive invoices electronically in a standardised digital format — directly between accounting and finance systems, without human intervention.

InvoiceNow is built on the internationally recognised Peppol (Pan-European Public Procurement On-Line) open standard framework. Singapore was the first country outside Europe to adopt Peppol for private-sector B2B e-invoicing. IMDA became the Peppol Authority in Singapore in May 2018, responsible for approving and certifying Peppol Access Point Providers.

The network enables invoices to flow directly from a sender's ERP or accounting system, through the secure Peppol network, to the recipient's system — and simultaneously transmit GST invoice data to IRAS in real time.

Did you know? Singapore was the first non-European country to join the Peppol network for business-to-business e-invoicing — part of the country's broader Smart Nation and digital economy initiative.

Why InvoiceNow?

Moving to e-invoicing via InvoiceNow delivers measurable benefits — for your business, your trading partners, and your GST compliance posture.

Faster Invoice Processing

Invoices are transmitted instantly from system to system — eliminating manual data entry, email attachments, and postal delays. Speed up your order-to-cash cycle significantly.

Enhanced Data Security

All invoices are transmitted securely through the InvoiceNow network using the international Peppol standard, minimising the risk of invoice fraud, interception, or data tampering.

Reduced Business Costs

Eliminate printing, postage, and manual processing costs. InvoiceNow reduces operational overhead and the cost of error rectification — freeing your team for higher-value work.

Simplified GST Compliance

With GST InvoiceNow, invoice data is submitted directly to IRAS at the point of issuance. Expect shorter GST audits and faster GST refunds — with reduced risk of discrepancies.

Improved Cash Flow

Faster invoice delivery means faster payment. Automated processing reduces disputes from incorrect or lost invoices — accelerating your receivables cycle and improving working capital.

Future-Ready & Interoperable

InvoiceNow is built on a globally recognised open standard. As more businesses and governments adopt Peppol worldwide, your invoicing infrastructure is already aligned with international best practices.
